pick 33-Oakland-Ty Montgomery,WR Stanford. Oakland's receiving core is clearly among the worst in the NFL,Montgomery is a solid day two option.
pick 34-Jacksonville-Devin Funchess,TE U of Michigan. Funchess is the top TE prospect this year. I would not be surprised if he was taken in the first round.
pick 35-Minnesota [via Tennesee] Rashad Greene,WR Florida St. projected scenario: MIN trades there 2nd and 4th round pick to TEN for Jake Locker and a 4th round pick.OK,here is my explanation. This trade probably will not happen, but it would make sense if it did. Here is my reasoning. Point A. Jake Locker proved two years ago that he is physically incapable of handling the rigors of a 16 game schedule. Point B. I believe he can be a very capable backup to Teddy Bridgewater, who will be entering his first full season as an NFL starter. A capable backup, that is something that the Vikings currently do not have. Yes,I am including Matt Cassel in that statement. That all being said, some will say that the price which I have the Vikings paying for Lockers' services are a bit steep, and after stating my reasons,I will respectfully disagree. Oh yea,and with the Vikings "reward pick",they will be getting one of the most talented WR's available,in Rashad Greene. So far,the post-Peterson era is looking promising!
pick 36-Tampa Bay-Tre Jackson,G Florida St. Yes,the Bucs are going to have to double dip at OL.
pick 37-Buffalo-Connor Cook,QB Michigan St. This pick is quite simple, New owner equals new coaching staff, which equals the "official"end of the E.J. Manuel Era. Kyle Orton will stay for one or two years, until Cook settles in.
pick 38-Arizona [via Washington]-Cameron Erving,OT Florida St. projected scenario: ARI trades their 2nd and 4th round picks to WAS for Kirk Cousins and a 4th round pick. The Cardinals QB situation became a merry-go-round the second that Carson Palmer injured his shoulder in week 1.Unless they make this trade,it's going to continue that way. Drew Stanton is a decent backup, and that is all. Logan Thomas could be a starter down the road, but not in 2015. As for Carson Palmer,he has public said that 2014 will be his final season, He probably considered retiring sometime during his four week absence. Kirk Cousins is clearly capable of being "stud" number one QB,he just needs to get out of Washington to prove it. Moving to Arizona will be Cousins' opportunity to prove himself, and I see no reason for him to disappoint.
pick 39-Jets-Nick O'Leary,TE Florida St. Make that three ex-Seminoles being drafted in the first seven picks of the second round, and the fifth overall. Jumbo Fisher has done an excellent job at developing NFL talent. O'Leary is probably a better blocker than Devin Funchess, and the latter is a little bit better at ball skills. That being said,O'Learys' NFL future still looks promising.
pick 40-Houston-Sean Mannion,QB Oregon St. Yes,we're 40 picks into the draft and still no Jameis Winston,I'm probably being biased because of my personal opinions towards Mr.Winston. I basically had the same opinions about Johnny Manziel, but look how that turned out... That all being said,Sean Mannion is no slum. His name has come up more than once as a Heisman Trophy Candidate, and he's broken several school records.
pick 41-Miami-Stefon Diggs,WR Maryland. With this pick, the Dolphins will finally have a clear number one receiver.
pick 42-Carolina-Kevin White,WR West Virginia
pick 43-Chicago-Owamagbe Odighizuwa,DE UCLA
pick 44-Giants-Michael Bennett,DT Ohio St.
pick 45-St.Louis-A.J. Cann,G South Carolina
pick 46-Cleveland [via Buffalo]-Jordan Jenkins,DE/OLB Georgia
pick 47-Pittsburgh-D.J. Humphries,OL U of Florida
pick 48-Tennessee [via Minnesota]-Shaq Thompson,LB U of Washington
pick 49-Dallas-Carl Davis.DT Iowa
pick 50-Kansas City-Nelson Algohor,WR USC.Yes,that's right,K.C. is going to draft TWO receivers. Dwayne Bowe is STILL the Chiefs best receiver...
pick 51-Atlanta-Ben Koyack,TE Notre Dame. Ben Koyack is no Tony Gonzalez, but he's far better than Levine Toilolo. The Falcons should have drafted fellow ex-Fighting Irish,Kyle Rudolph, when hew as available.
pick 52-Detroit-Christian Covington,DT Rice. Here are the facts surrounding this pick. Fact 1: "Donkey Numbnuts Kong" Suh is leaving via free agency. Fact 2: Nick "Not So" Fairley can not stay on the field, whether it's because of injury,or lack of oxygen to his brain. Christian Covington is built similarly to the above mentioned, and as far as I know,he's not a "numb nut". That alone sounds promising to me.
pick 53-Indy-Lorenzo Mauldin,DE/OLB Louisville
pick 54-Philly-Jake Fisher,OT Oregon
pick 55-New England-Josue Matias,G Florida St.
pick 56-N'awlins-Benardrick McKinney,ILB Mississippi St.
pick 57-Baltimore-Devante Parker,WR Louisville. Devante Parker is a solid receiver, who is NFL ready. If he's picked here,he would be playing opposite Torrey Smith.
pick 58-San Fran.-Arik Armstead,DE/DT Oregon
pick 59-Washington [via Arizona]-Marcus Peters,CB U of Washington. Another well needed improvment in Washington's secondary.
pick 60-Cincy-Wayne Lyons,CB Stanford
pick 61-Green Bay-Sean Hickey,OT Syracuse
pick 62-San Diego-Derron Smith,S Fresno St.
pick 63-Denver-Qandre Diggs,CB Texas
pick 64-Seattle-Alvin Dupree,DE/OLB Kentucky
